Your profile and password

Update your account name, change your password or reset a forgotten one.

Profile settings belong to your account

Your name and password apply to your SendMero account across workspaces. Workspace names and time zones are managed separately.

Open My Profile

Click your avatar in the dashboard and choose My Profile.

SectionWhat you can change
GeneralYour display name. Email is shown but read-only.
Change passwordYour account password, using the password fields below.

Update your name

Under General, edit Name and click Save. Wait for Profile updated.

The Email field can't be edited here. If you need help changing the account's email address, contact support; don't expect changing your name or workspace name to change the login address.

Updating your profile doesn't change your workspace role. Ask your workspace administrator if you need different access.

Change your password

  1. Under Change password, enter Current password if your account has one.
  2. Enter New password and Confirm new password.
  3. Click Change password.
  4. Wait for Password changed.

The new password must be at least six characters, and both new-password fields must match. If your account was created with Google or Microsoft and has no password set, you can set one without an existing current password. This changes your SendMero password, not your Google or Microsoft password.

ErrorWhat to check
New passwords do not matchEnter the same new value in both fields.
New password must be at least 6 charactersUse a longer password.
Current password is incorrectCheck the current password or use the reset flow.

Wait for the success message before assuming a password change was saved. The form clears the password fields after a successful change.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the login screen, choose Forgot password?, or open Reset password.
  2. Enter your account's email address and click Send reset link.
  3. Open the link in the email. Enter New password and Confirm password on the reset page.
  4. Click Reset password, then use Go to login after Password reset successful appears.

Reset links expire after one hour and can't be reused after a successful reset. Request a new link if the page shows Invalid reset link. Requesting another link replaces the previous one, so use the newest email.

The Check your email message doesn't confirm that an account exists for the entered address. If no email arrives, check the address and spam or junk folder, then request a new link if needed.

Passwords and sending credentials

Your login password is separate from API keys and SMTP credentials. Changing it doesn't replace those credentials in your app. If a sending secret was exposed, review it separately using Leaked credentials.

If you suspect someone accessed your account, change or reset your password and ask your workspace administrator to review team access, credentials and the Audit log. Don't assume a password change alone confirms all other sessions and shared secrets are safe.

Best practices
  • Use a unique password and keep it in your password manager.
  • Keep reset links private; don't include them in support screenshots.
  • Review workspace access and sending secrets separately from your login password.
