Manage workspaces

Switch workspaces, create another workspace and update its settings.

Check the selected workspace

Domains, credentials, team access and activity belong to a workspace. Confirm its name before making a change or investigating an email.

Switch workspace

  1. Click the current workspace name in the dashboard header.
  2. On Select Workspace, click the workspace you want to open.
  3. Check the selected name after the dashboard loads.

Only workspaces you belong to appear. The selector shows your role for each workspace. If one is missing, check that you're signed in with the invited account and have accepted its invitation.

Create another workspace

You can create another workspace with your existing SendMero account; you don't need to register again.

  1. Open the workspace selector.
  2. Click Create workspace.
  3. Enter Workspace name, such as Acme Production.
  4. Click Create.

You become the Owner of the workspace you create. Set up its sending domains, credentials and team access separately; creating a workspace doesn't copy configuration from another one.

Example separationWhy you might use it
ProductKeep each product's sending setup and team distinct.
ClientGive each client a separate workspace and membership list.
EnvironmentKeep development and production credentials and activity apart.

A separate workspace isn't an email test mode. Requests sent through an enabled sending integration can still send real email.

Rename the workspace

Open Settings → Workspace Settings, change Workspace name, and click Save changes. Wait for Workspace updated.

Signup creates an initial workspace named after you. Rename it to something your team can recognize. A workspace rename doesn't rename its domains or change sender addresses.

Set the time zone

On Workspace Settings, enter a valid time-zone identifier in Timezone, such as Asia/Kolkata, America/New_York or UTC, and click Save changes.

SettingWhat it affects
Workspace nameThe workspace's display name.
TimezoneWorkspace reporting and date-range interpretation where the workspace time zone is used.

Overview can also show data in UTC without changing the workspace setting. Activity displays its time zone below the filters. Check those labels when comparing dates across screens.

Understand reporting periods →

Viewing and editing settings require the corresponding permissions. If Save changes is unavailable, ask the owner or administrator to review your access.

Set up deliverability alerts

On Workspace Settings, the Deliverability alerts section lets you choose how early you are warned about a rising bounce or complaint rate and who receives the alert emails. See Deliverability alerts.

Delete a workspace

Only the Owner can delete a workspace.

  1. Open Workspace Settings in the workspace you intend to delete.
  2. Under Danger Zone, click Delete workspace.
  3. Type the workspace's name exactly as requested.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.

This cannot be undone. Domains, credentials and members are permanently removed from that workspace. Update apps using its credentials and retain any needed records before deleting it. Deleting a workspace is different from removing one teammate or changing the workspace name.

Best practices
  • Use names that clearly identify the product, client or environment.
  • Keep each workspace's credentials in the matching app configuration.
  • Check filters and the selected workspace before concluding that activity is missing.
