Queue
See which of your emails are still on their way: how many are waiting or being retried, how long the longest has waited, and which destinations they are headed for.
Open Overview and select the Queue tab. It shows the state right now, so it doesn't follow the date range, and it updates with the page (about once a minute). As of shows when the figures were worked out.
What counts as queued
A recipient is queued when SendMero has accepted the message within the last 24 hours and the recipient doesn't have a final result yet: not delivered, not bounced, not expired and not rejected. 24 hours is SendMero's longest delivery time: mail that isn't delivered by then is no longer retried, so it leaves the queue and shows in Activity as expired. Test-mode sends are not counted.
| Figure | What it means |
|---|---|
| Queued now | Every recipient still waiting for a final result. |
| Longest wait | How long the longest-waiting recipient has been waiting since it was accepted. |
| Waiting its turn | In the delivery queue: not tried yet, or still being sent. |
| Retrying | The receiving server asked SendMero to try again later. We keep trying, and most of these are delivered. |
Select View in Activity under a figure to open those messages.
How long they have waited
A bar for each time group, from Under 15 minutes to Over 18 hours. A little waiting is normal. The last group (orange) is mail close to the 24-hour limit; if it isn't delivered soon it will expire.
Where they are headed
A table by the recipient's domain (for example gmail.com): how many are queued, how many are waiting their turn or retrying, and the longest wait. The ten busiest domains are listed and the rest are grouped as Other. Use the Domains filter at the top of the page to look at only some of your sending domains.
What to do
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Many recipients waiting their turn, with short waits | Nothing. This is normal after a large send. |
| Retrying is high for one destination | That provider is slowing your mail down. Mail keeps being retried; check Activity for the server's replies. |
| Mail in the Over 18 hours group | It is close to the delivery limit. Open it in Activity to see the receiving server's replies; if it expires you can fix the cause and send again. |
Queued now uses the same meaning as In progress on the Overview's Summary tab, but always covers the last 24 hours instead of following your date range, so the two can differ.
