IP Pools
See which IP pools your mail goes out through, how your dedicated IPs are warming up, and whether delivery on each pool is healthy.
The IP Pools page shows the dedicated IP pools that belong to your workspace. If your domains send through SendMero's shared pools, there is nothing to show here: we manage the shared pools' reputation for you, and we don't show their IP addresses or any other customer's data. Your own bounce and complaint rates are always on the Overview.
For each dedicated pool you see its health, bounce and complaint rates, and every IP address with its warm-up progress.
Health
Health is worked out from the bounce rate and the complaint rate over the last 7 and 30 days (UTC), with the same limits as the Overview:
| Rate | Healthy | Warning | At risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bounce rate | under 2 % | 2 % to 5 % | 5 % or more |
| Complaint rate | under 0.1 % | 0.1 % to 0.3 % | 0.3 % or more |
- Bounce rate = (bounced + expired) ÷ (delivered + bounced + expired).
- Complaint rate = complained ÷ delivered.
- The level is the worse of the two rates.
- A pool or IP needs at least 100 delivered or bounced recipients in a window to get a level. With less, the page says Not enough data instead of a colour, so a handful of bounces never looks like an emergency.
Hover over a rate to see the numbers behind it.
Warm-up
A new dedicated IP has no sending history, so mailbox providers only trust it with a little mail at first. We raise the recommended daily volume step by step over a schedule, usually 30 days.
For each dedicated IP the page shows:
- State: Warming up while the schedule runs, Active when it is complete.
- Warm-up: the day it is on, for example Day 4 of 30.
- Sent today (UTC): recipients delivered or bounced since 00:00 UTC, against that day's recommended volume. The counter starts again each UTC day.
The recommended volume is a guide. A sudden jump in volume on a young IP is what mailbox providers distrust, so stay at or under it and send steadily rather than in bursts.
When a pool is not healthy
- Warning: bounces or complaints are rising. Open the Bounce reasons tab on the Overview, remove addresses that hard-bounce, and check you only send to people who asked for your mail.
- At risk: mailbox providers may start blocking mail from the pool. Pause sending to old, bought or inactive lists and clean your list before you send more.
We also email your Owners and Admins when a rate crosses a limit. See Deliverability alerts.
