Invite your team
Invite teammates, manage pending invitations and update workspace access.
Give each teammate the role they need for their work. You can change a member's role after they join.
Send an invitation
- Open Users & Permissions under Settings, then select Users if both tabs are shown.
- Click Invite user.
- Enter the teammate's Email and choose a Role.
- Click Send invite.
The address appears in the list with status Invited. Invitations expire after seven days. Owner isn't available in the role picker.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Owner | The workspace owner. Their role and membership can't be changed with these controls. |
| Active | A member who has joined the workspace. |
| Invited | A pending invitation; the person hasn't joined yet. |
An invitation is for this workspace only. The same person can belong to other workspaces with different roles.

Accept an invitation
Ask your teammate to open the link in the invitation email and check the workspace and invited address.
| Account situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Already has an account | Click Accept & Join. If prompted to sign in, use the invited address. |
| New to SendMero | Enter Name, Password and Confirm password, then click Create Account & Join. |
| Wrong account | Use Log in with a different account and sign in with the invited address. |
| Invalid invitation | Ask the workspace administrator for a new invitation. |
A new account's password must be at least six characters. After joining, the member appears as Active in Users. They can select the workspace from the workspace selector.
Replace or cancel a pending invitation
Click the X icon beside an Invited row and confirm Revoke invitation. The old link can no longer be used.
There is no resend button in this screen. To send a replacement, revoke the pending invitation and use Invite user again. You can also choose a different role when sending the replacement.
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| Email didn't arrive | Check spam or junk and the invited address. Revoke and re-invite if another email is needed. |
| An invitation is already pending | Revoke that invitation before sending another. |
| Person is already a member | Change their existing role rather than inviting them again. |
| Link expired | Send a new invitation; the expired link can't be renewed. |
Change a member's role
In Users, use the Role dropdown for an active non-owner member. Select the replacement role and wait for the list to update. This saves the change directly; there is no separate Save button.
Role changes affect this workspace. Use Audit log to review the recorded change.
Remove a member
Click the trash icon beside a non-owner member and confirm Remove member. This removes their membership in the current workspace; it doesn't delete their SendMero account or memberships elsewhere.
Removing a member doesn't replace credential management. If they knew a shared API key, SMTP password or webhook secret, review those secrets separately.

If you can't invite, change roles or remove members, ask an administrator to check your permissions.
- Invite each person using their own account instead of sharing a login.
- Revoke invitations that are no longer needed.
- Review both membership and shared secrets when someone leaves.
